 Ireland 23 – 20 Italy. A last minute howler by TMO Derek Bevan handed the Irish a completely undeserved victory over the courageous Italians. Ronan O’Gara clearly knocked the ball forward just short of the line before grounding it for the match winning try. Comments:

 The All Blacks held their final warm-up outings today against the Auckland Barbarians in front of around 2000 fans. In two 50-minute clashes they easily won 79-0 and 69-0. They had previously taken on a New Zealand Police XV. Comments:
