Great site !!
Well done the IRB!
You have brought the game of rugby union into disrepute at the RWC 2007.
You have allowed the tournament to be tainted by appointing match officials and judicial committee members who are either inept, corrupt or at least manipulating the laws to serve there own intentions.
Let’s look at the previous weeks citings of 1 American, 1 Englishman (captain nogal), 1 South African (on appeal you back-tracked but to save some face imposed a sanction)and 1 Samoan (the wrong one because Brain Lima should have served a lengthy suspension but was favoured on and off the field because of his 5th RWC tournament)
In cricket and there is an appeal for light on day 1 of a test match, the light-meter reading is used as a benchmark for the rest of the match – so if the IRB set a yardstick with its citings last week it should have seen more players cited this week.
But no! the only citings are a Namibian and 1 Tongan albeit for red cards.
In the Wales v Australia game there should have been at least 5 citings.
Thomas, Latham, Mortlock, Moore and Mitchell – the latter 2 for serious infringements carrying minimum 5 match suspensions.
After looking at the composition of the judicial and citing panel one can only understand why and who can manipulate the off-field aspects of RWC.
Representation is 3 each from NZ, England, Australis and Scotland, 2 each from France and Wales and 1 each from Argentina, Ireland, Italy and South Africa.
One can only understand that no balanced decisions will be made from an unbalanced system.
