The Bulls and Stormers both picked up valuable away wins last week which has strengthened their position at the top of the table. The Crusaders’ semi-final ambitions are alive with a win over the highly rated Waratahs and both the Brumbies and Reds picked up big wins against pathetic South African opposition. The Reds have been the big surprise of the tournament with flyhalf Quade Cooper in scintillating form and they currently sit in fifth place on the log.

This weekend the Bulls wrap up their overseas tour with a match against the Reds in Brisbane and they will be hoping that the Queensland side are still recovering from their trip back from SA. The Stormers face a crunch match against the Chiefs in Hamilton while the Crusaders will be looking forward to the prospect of a visit from the easy-beat Cheetahs. Another crucial match is the Brumbies at home against the Hurricanes with both teams needing a win to keep their semi-final hopes alive.
