After a humbling defeat to Argentina last weekend, Wales will have a much better chance to record only their second win of 2025 when they host Japan. Wales’ only other previous win of the year came against the Cherry Blossoms in June to end an 18-match losing streak and should be confident, but this match holds even higher importance, with the loser likely to fall outside the top 12 rankings and thus end up with a tougher group in the World Cup 2027 draw in December.
