Springbok coach Heyneke Meyer has announced three planning camps during the next six weeks as part of his preparations for the upcoming Test series against England in June.

The camps take place on the various franchises’ bye weekends:

16 to 19 April (Joburg) Lions and Cheetahs players
23 to 26 April (Pretoria) Bulls and Sharks players
01 to 03 May (Cape Town) Stormers players

Meyer said: “I’m planning to look quite wide at most of the eligible players from our five Super Rugby squads when I invite players to attend our sessions – including currently injured players. The more players that are aware of how we’d like to play this year, the better for the Springboks’ preparations for a very tough season”

I stumbled across this brilliant book in Sportsman’s Warehouse and later bought the eBook online from Kalahari. The authors Eddie Grieb and Stuart Farmer are statistics fanatics! This book contains hundreds of interesting stats relating to the Springboks, covering the entire history of the team.

Here is a list of just a few of the hundreds of stats from the book:

And here is an example of one of the stats:

An awesome book and definitely one for the rugby enthusiast. Amaze your friends with your Bok knowledge!

And it’s only R85.95 for the paperback and R60.95 for the eBook. Click on an image to go to the Kalahari page:
