Krugersdorp High School “Best of the West†Easter Festival: 5 – 9 April 2012
Krugersdorp High School once again looks forward to a cracker Easter Festival with teams coming from in and around Southern Africa. The rugby festival has grown to 12 schools strong with the likes of St. Charles College (KZN), St Georges College (Zim.), HS Jeugland, HS Roodepoort and St David’s Marist Brothers – Inanda forming part of the line-up. In terms of the Boys’ Hockey, schools such as HS Eldoraigne, Trinityhouse College, Cambridge High (EC), will be participating on our Astro.
The Best of the West Easter Festival is not just about the camaraderie on the field but also the family and the local community. This year there is once again Live entertainment in the Beer Tent on both the Thursday and Saturday evening along with the BIG screen sports, food and market stalls. The Saturday has been dedicated to the opening of the John Hall Oval in recognition of his contributions to KHS over the past 40 years as an educator, coach and mentor; and to fundraising for the Bethany House Trust which is a safe haven for children in need. For every R20 entrance fee paid on the Saturday R5 will go towards the Trust. Prizes will also be given to the best dressed spectators in pink and blue to show our spirit towards the Festival and the Trust. Look forward to seeing you all there.
