About the player… The former SA Under 19 player will be enjoying his fifth year with the Sharks in 2007, having represented the province in 78 matches. Last year’s excellent form in the Super 14 saw him gain selection for the Springboks, earning eight caps for his country. He is a valuable part of the Sharks’ tight-five, has captained the side and is a player known for his willingness to get his hands dirty, doing hard instead of glamourous work.
