Eighteen members of the party travelling to New Zealand for the World Cup with South Africa were part of the squad that won in 2007.
Springbok coach Peter de Villiers announced his 30 man squad on Tuesday with John Smit again leading the team as they attempt to retain their title. Smit is one of six players set to appear in their third Rugby World Cup.
The Springbok squad to contest the 2011 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand, was named tonight.

Bok fans had just started to think that maybe Peter de Villiers was on the right track when he omitted the 11th best scrumhalf in the country from his Durban-based World Cup planning squad. The relief was short-lived as Ricky Januarie has once again been included in the Bok World Cup plans. The preliminary Springbok World Cup squad of 49 includes six uncapped players.
The South African Under-20 team beat Ireland 42-26 in their Junior World Championship match in Treviso on Wednesday, scoring five tries to two.
