 John Smit and Jean de Villiers returned to Bok training at the weekend in the team’s last practice on home soil. Schalk Burger and Juan Smith missed the session, both suffering from a stomach virus, but are expected to recover fully in the next few days. Comments:

 Bok wing Akona Ndungane will be out of action for 3 weeks after bruising chest muscles in the game against Connacht. He will be back in time to face Tonga and the USA. Comments:

 The All Blacks held their final warm-up outings today against the Auckland Barbarians in front of around 2000 fans. In two 50-minute clashes they easily won 79-0 and 69-0. They had previously taken on a New Zealand Police XV. Comments:
