Aug 10: INTL: Japan v Asian Barbarians, Tokyo [69-10]
More than 10,000 fans gathered at the Prince Chichibu Memorial Ground in Tokyo on Friday evening to see Japan play the Asian Barbarians in their final match on home soil before Rugby World Cup 2007.
Japan outscored their opponents – a mix of former Japanese internationals and players from China, Korea, Kazakhstan and Hong Kong – by 11 tries to one in humid conditions to triumph 69-10.
After the match Japan head coach John Kirwan addressed the crowd in Japanese from prepared notes to thank the fans for coming to watch the team and to also seek their support during the World Cup, when his side faces Australia, Wales, Canada and Fiji.
Aug 11: INTL: England v France, Twickenahm [15-21]
A rampaging last twenty minutes by France star Sébastien Chabal, including a late try, helped France to a 21-15 win over England at Twickenham on Saturday.
England, showing 11 changes from the side that demolished Wales 62-5, were expected to struggle against the French first-choice side. However, the English, lead by Mike Catt, matched the 6 Nations champions for most of the game.

Aug 11: INTL: Scotland v Ireland, Murrayfield [31-21]
Scotland beat Ireland 31-21 in a World Cup warm-up Test at Murrayfield in a terrible display by an Irish side seen by many as real World Cup contenders.

The Sharks started strongly, wrapping up the bonus point within 14 minutes. However the Valke came back and got amongst the Sharks players, disrupting their pattern and getting back into the game. The Sharks were too strong in the end though, running out 45-22 victors.
